Epson Enabling a Direct Wi-Fi (AP Mode) Connection Setup

You can enable a direct Wi-Fi connection to enable direct communication between your scanner and computer system or other gadgets without a cordless router or access point.

Keep in mind: If you are linking a smart device to the scanner utilizing a direct Wi-Fi (AP mode) connection, the scanner is connected to the very same Wi-Fi network (SSID) as the smart device. When you switch off the scanner, the clever device is immediately linked to other Wi-Fi networks, so you need to reconnect to the scanner in AP mode from the smart device when you turn the scanner back on. To avoid reconnecting each time you turn the scanner off and back on, connect the scanner to an access point rather.

Prior to you begin, note the SSID and password shown on the label on the back of the scanner.
Press the Wi-Fi on/off button on the scanner's control board.
From your computer or gadget, look for and choose the SSID shown on the label on the back of the scanner.
Go into the password revealed on the label on the back of the scanner. The AP mode light is lit blue when an AP mode connection is developed.

Epson Using WPS to Set Up a Direct Wi-Fi Connection Setup

You can use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to create a direct Wi-Fi connection to a WPS-enabled computer or device.

Press and hold the Wi-Fi connect button on the scanner for at least 3 seconds, then release it when the Wi-Fi on/off light flashes blue. The scanner goes into standby mode for WPS connection for 2 minutes.
Press the WPS button on your computer system or gadget, or make it possible for the WPS feature. When the Wi-Fi on/off light on the scanner remains on, the connection is developed.
